From Charleston.

Charleston, Oct. 24.
--All accounts show the Ponotalige fight to have been a hotly contested engagement, resulting in a glorious Confederate victory — in fact, another Successional affair.

The enemy's gunboats, this evening, left Mackey's Point, going back to Port Royal.
