--On Monday afternoon last a drunken row occurred in the western suburbs of the city, during the progress of which John Owens had his skull fractured with a four pound weight, and Peter Carroll received a stab of cut in one of his arms. A man called Francis Keepright was polluted out to Officer Kelly as the party that stabbed Carroll, and was taken into custody and lodged in jail. Yesterday morning he name before the Recorder, but the witnesses being absent the examination was deferred until to-day.
