A.in or of the country, “ἐσθὴς ἐγχωρίη” Hdt. l.c.; “ἐγχωρία λίμνα” Pi. l.c.; βασιλῆες ib.9.56; “ἐ. θεοί” A.Th.14, S.Tr.183, Sammelb.5680 (iii B. C.); “θεοὶ καὶ ἥρωες” Th. 2.74; “Ἑλληνικοῖς καὶ ἐ. γράμμασι” OGI194.30 (i B. C.); κάρτα δ᾽ ἔστ᾽ ἐ. a true-born Theban, A.Th.413; ἐ.
