ἔνσπονδος , ον, (σπονδή)
A.included in a truce or treaty, opp. “ἔκσπονδος, ἔ. ποιεῖσθαι” Th.3.10; ἔ. τινι in alliance with one, E.Ba.924, Th. 1.40, 3.65,al.: as Subst., ally, “οὐδενὸς Ἑλλήνων ἔ.” Id.1.31; οἱ ἔ. the allies, ib.35.
2. of animals, gently disposed, “πρός τινα” Ael.NA1.3; ἔνσπονδα εἶναί τινι πρός τινα ib.57.
