THE Gentlemen of Medford desirous to enjoy the Social and Elegant Amusement of Dancing for at least three evenings do hereby agree, all who subscribe our names, to bear an equal share of the expenditures [p. 85] of the same, in testimony whereof we severally subjoin our signatures.
No gentleman to be admitted under Twenty-one years of age.

Rules for the Assembly.
Nov. 18, 1808, at the Meeting of the Committee of arrangements the following rules were drawn up for the regulations of the Medford Assembly.
1st.—No person to be admitted as a subscriber who does not belong to the town.
2nd.—Each subscriber shall be entitled to a ticket for himself and for a number of Ladies not exceeding three —subscribers tickets to be issued for the season.
3d.—Each subscriber shall be entitled to one disposable Gentlemens ticket at each assembly for which he shall be answerable to the managers at four dollars each, and any Gentleman so admitted shall have the privilege of introducing one lady, for whom he shall receive a ticket from the managers on application.
4th.—The managers are authorized at their discretion to present Honorary tickets to public characters.
5th.—No gentleman to be introduced under twenty-one years of age. [p. 86]
6th.—No segars to be smoked in the Dining Hall or drawing rooms.
7th.—The dancing will commence at 6 o'clock precisely and no new dance will be called after 12 o'clock.
Nov. 21, 1808.
The Committee of Arrangements reported the following statement which had been agreed to and signed by Mr. Blanchard
The Committee of Arrangements do agree to pay for Eighty Suppers at least at each assembly—the supper to consist of the following articles to be provided cold, viz.:
2 Hams, 15 lb. each.
4 Neats Tongues.
Cheese.
Crackers and biscuit.
cellery with dressing.
Fowles 2 dozen.
Liqors.
Best Lisbon Wine in bottles, good cogniac Brandy, Gin, Loaf Sugar.
Mr. Blanchard agrees to furnish the above mentioned articles at the following prices:
The Hall, Drawing rooms and Supper rooms to be put in order to the satisfaction of the Managers.
