Suicide and Destitution.

--Mrs. Sarah Woods, living in Colbrook Court, Philadelphia, sought refuge from unendurable domestic affliction on Sunday morning by committing suicide. The means used were six cents' worth of laudanum. She leaves six children to lament her. Her husband had volunteered as a soldier some time ago, leaving her entirely unprovided for. She purchased the laudanum on Saturday night, swallowed it and went to bed, folding her infant to her bosom. Neighbors found her the next morning cold and stiff, her wailing infant raisly endeavoring to draw from her its accustomed nutriment.
