Painful Casualty

--A telegram was received here last evening announcing the intelligence that Judge F. W. Huling was killed at Amite City yesterday, on the Jackson Railroad, by a train running over him. Judge H. was an old and highly esteemed citizen, and a veteran under Jackson in the Creek war. He resided for a long time in Mississippi, removed some years ago to Plaque mine parish, in this State, where for some time he was engaged in sugar planting, and of late has lived in the piney woods, near Amities. He was a patriotic, intelligent and faithful citizen, and was greatly esteemed in all the relations of life.--N. O. Delta, 23d.
