Drowned.

--A young man named Samuel Scott, son of the Rev. Mr. Scott, of Smyth county, Va., was drowned recently, near Abingdon, while bathing. He was a member of Capt. Griever's company of volunteers.--The Abingdon Virginian says it is a singular, as well as melancholy coincidence, that a young man of the same name, a private in Captain Townes' Mecklenburg Rifles, was drowned near Boydton one day last week while bathing.
