Hurricane.

--About 10 o'clock, on Thursday night, a perfect hurricane swept over the city. --Such was the power of the wind that shutters were blown off trees uprooted, fences thrown down, and, in some instances, as in the case of a house on French Garden Hill a roof was bodily removed. The Borean blast continued with more or less fury until about 11 o'clock, when it turned into a rain which continued intermittently until daybreak yesterday. Yesterday we had an occasional glimpse of the sun. The air was very cool for the season, and the sky was filled with clouds.
