Attack upon a train

Chattanooga, April 3.--5 P. M.
--Dick McCanu, with 100 men, attacked a Federal train on the Nashville and Chattanooga railroad, nine miles from Nashville, killed 42 and wounded 67. Loss on our side one killed and three wounded. The party also captured wagons, &c., and returned in safety.

The Abolition Convention at Louisville nominated Josiah H. Bell for Governor.
