--The lad Tom Turpin, charged with stealing a large sum of money from John Multer, was again before the Mayor yesterday, but as Muller failed to appear. Tom was discharged. The Mayor, however, held him in custody, to give his widowed mother an opportunity to put him in the naval service, Tom being considered far too dangerous to be permitted to go at large.
