One hundred and fifty Dollars reward.

--Ran away from the Australia Furnace on Tuesday, the 28th ult, the following Convicts:

  1. 1. Billy Taylor, sentenced in Clarke county the 16th of May, 1860, at the age of 44; black complexion, black hair, black eyes, 5 feet 5½ inches high; war on the outside of the right leg, one on the left hand just above the joint of the little finger, and one on the same arm, near the elbow.
  2. 2. Taylor Brown, sentenced in Richmond city June 22d, 1860, at the age of 21; black hair, black eye, black complexion, 5 feet 6 inches high; two scars on the left shoulder, caused by burns.
  3. 3. Wm Pendleton, sentenced in the city of Richmond February 18th, 1861, at the age of 14; ginger bread color, black hair, black eyes, 4 feet 10 inches high; no visible scars.
  4. 4. John Lewis, sentenced in Albemarle county June 16th, 1860, at the age of 18; bright mulatto light sandy hair, gray eyes, 5 feet 5¼ inches high, one scar on the joint of the right, wrist, and a small one just below the elbow of the left arm.
  5. 5. Phil, sentenced in James City county February 4th, 1862, at the age of 23 years; black complexion, black hair, black eyes, 5 feet 2½ inches high; small scar on the left shin.
  6. 6. Joe Davis, a free man, sent from Danville, Va, on the 18th of August, 1862; born in Halifax county, aged 28 years, 5 feet 7½ inches high, bright mulatto, black hair and eyes; scar on the right arm, and one small one in the outer corner of the left eye.
  7. 7. Wm Cook, a free man, from Rockingham county; sent March 20th, 1863; born in Hardy county, aged 25 years, 5 feet 5½ inches high, bright mulatto, black hair, and dark hazel eyes; scar on the back of the left hand, and one on the right knee, and a half circle in indelible ink on the right arm, just below the elbow.
  8. 8. Pompey, a slave, the property of Patrick Roney at the time he was condemned by the County Court of Dinwiddie; aged 24 years when sent mulatto, black eyes and hair, 5 feet 6 inches high; scar on the right eye, and one on the right wrist.
The above reward will be paid for the capture and delivery of all of the within-described convicts to the Australia Furnace, or their judgement a some jail, or a proportion of the amount will be paid for each.
