Cruger, John 1710-1792

Legislator; born in New York City, July 18, 1710; elected alderman in 1754; mayor in 1756, which office he filled ten years; member of the General Assembly of New York colony in 1759, 1761, and 1769, of which last he was speaker until 1775. He died in New York City, Dec. 27, 1792.
