Stati'lius
1.
Stenius Statilius, as he is called by Pliny, or STATIUS STATILIUS, according to Valerius Maximus, the leader of the Lucanians, who attacked Thurii.
The tribune of the plebs, C. Aelius, brought forward a law at Rome, directed against this Statilius, in consequence of which the inhabitants of Thurii rewarded him with a golden crown. (
Plin. Nat. 34.6. s. 15;
V. Max. 1.8.6.)
