--The family of
President Juarez, of
Mexico, have arrived at New Orleans from
Brazos Santiago.
The Interventionist forces, under
General Douai, had occupied
Saltillo, and expected soon to be at Satarina, whence, to
Monterey, there will be stubborn resistance.
Accounts from
Vera Crus of the 7th state that the
French and Imperialists will advance simultaneously as far as New Leon, Coahuill and Tamaulipsis.
On one side, they have already taken Durange; and on the other, have reached
Victoria.
Monterey and
Matamoras will soon be attacked.
A late dispatch says that
Cortinas, the celebrated guerrilla, obtained a complete victory recently over Ursera, ten miles north of
Victoria.
It was rumored that
General Cortinas, with his victorious army, was marching on
Matarmoras to contest the advance of the
French up the
Rio Grande.
