Relative sentences may be divided into two classes:— First, those in which the antecedent of the relative is definite; that is, in which the relative pronouns refer to definite persons or things, and the relative adverbs to definite points of time, place, etc. Secondly, those in which the antecedent is indefinite; that is, in which no such definite persons, things, times, or places are referred to.
