Serious accident.

--On Wednesday last, Mr. C. Kuester, of Raleigh, N. C., while engaged in filling caps with percussion powder, was seriously injured by an explosion of the powder. The little finger of his right hand was blown off, and the next finger to it and the middle finger were badly mangled. A part of his left thumb was also blown off, and some of the fingers of his left hand badly hurt. A cap entered his left wrist, severing an artery, and was taken out of his arm nearly as far up as the elbow. He is bearing his suffering like a man, and is doing as well as could be expected.
