οἶδ᾽ ὅτι μοι συγκινδυνεύει μήτηρ καὶ γυνὴ καὶ
γένος οὐκ ἄσημον καὶ πάλαι λαμπρὸς οἶκος, καὶ τάχα δοκῶ διὰ
ταῦτα συμβουλεύειν. ἀποκτείνατε αὐτούς, λάβετε μισθὸν τῆς ἑαυτῶν
σωτηρίας τὸ ἐμὸν αἷμα: κἀγὼ θνήσκειν ἕτοιμος, εἰ μετ᾽ ἐμὲ
σωφρονεῖν μέλλετε.”
