RUSPE (Koudiat Rosfa) Tunisia.

This site, on the coast of the Sahel 30 km N of Sfax, appears in the Peutinger Table between Uzilla and Acholla. The ancient name has survived in its current toponymy as Koudiat Rosfa, 10 km N of Inchilla and 9 km S of Botria. A port and some remains have been found there, among them baths which were excavated in 1953. A little farther S, an important road coming from Thysdrus ends at the coast. The identification of the city has been difficult, but final identification of Botria with Acholla has permitted the location of Ruspe at Koudiat Rosfa. The city owes its fame to St. Fulgence, who held the office of bishop there at the end of the Vandal age.
