ὑπερικταίνοντο , 3pl. impf. Pass.,
A.hobbled along beneath, in the phrase “γούνατα δ᾽ ἐρρώσαντο, πόδες δ᾽ ὑπερικταίνοντο” Od.23.3: according to Aristarch. it meant ἄγαν ἐπάλλοντο, and other ancient critics gave other explanations, v. EM779.9; a reading ὑποακταίνοντο ( = ἔτρεμον) is mentioned in Hsch.; cf. ἀκταίνω.
