rŭīnōsus , a, um, adj. ruina, of buildings.
I. Tumbling down, going to ruin, ruinous (rare but class.): aedes, * Cic. Off. 3, 13, 54: “parietes,” Sen. Ira, 3, 35 fin. (better rimosos).—*
II. Poet., transf., that has already fallen, ruined, in ruins: “ruinosas occulit herba domos,” Ov. H. 1, 56.—Plur. subst.: rŭīnōsa , ōrum, ruins: “instaurare,” Vulg. Ezech. 36, 33; 33, 27.
