KEDEMOTH

KEDEMOTH (Βακεδμώθ, LXX.), a city in the tribe of Reuben (Josh. 13.18), which gave its name to the wilderness of Kedemoth, on the borders of the river Arnon, from whence Moses sent messengers of peace to Sihon king of Heshbon (Deut. 2.26.)
