PHILOBOEO´TUS
PHILOBOEO´TUS (
Φιλοβοιωτός), a fertile woody hill in the plain of Elateia in Phocis, at the foot of which there was water. (
Plut. Sull. 16.)
This description, according to Leake, agrees with the remarkable insulated conical height between
Bissikéni and the Cephissus. (
Northern Greece, vol. ii. p. 194.)
