10 اِسْتَقْتَلَ ذ [properly He sought, or courted, slaughter;] i. q. اِسْتَمَاتَ; (S, K;) meaning he cared not for death, by reason of his courage; (JM;) he resigned and subjected himself to slaughter, and cared not for death. (Mgh.)
