The Virginia Convention.
We suppose that not one citizen of
Virginia in one thousand imagined, when the Virginia Convention was elected, that it would be in session more than ten days or two weeks. It has now been in session nearly a month, and has done nothing yet. The Convention and the Legislature together, as
Mr. Hall, of
Wetzel, has stated in the former body, are costing the people of
Virginia $2,600 a day.--We understand the
Convention has cut out work enough for some months yet. People ask us every day what will the
Convention do. We think they will ‘"
do"’ the tax-payers of this Commonwealth to a most unparalleled extent, and will undo themselves in equal proportion.
