--No news this morning. The weather stormy, and no firing.

[second Dispatch.]

Charleston, Dec. 18 P. M.
--Ten shells were fired at the city to-day--five this morning and five this afternoon. No damage done. Our batteries have kept up a steady fire on the enemy, who are still engaged in the work of rivetting and obstructing the approaches to their batteries on Morris Island. Some firing heard in the Stono during the day. The enemy fired a few shots on James Island to-day. Twenty-nine vessels, including the Ironsides and four monitors, are inside the bar, and the usual number in the Stono and off the bar.
