GERASUS

GERASUS a river of Dacia (Amm. Marc. 31.3.7), which Jornandes (de Get. 22) calls GRISSIA and the Geographer of Ravenna GRESIA. Schafarik (Slav. Alt. vol. i. p. 507), who makes it out to be the same as the CUSUS of Tacitus (Tac. Ann. 2.63), identifies it with the Körös, an affluent of the Theiss.
