SABRINA

SABRINA (called by Ptolemy Σαβριάνα, 2.3.3; probably also the Sarva of the Geog. Ray. 5.31), a river on the W. coast of Britannia Romana, which falls into the sea near Venta Silurum, now the Severn. Its mouth formed an estuary of the same name. (Comp. Tac. Ann. 12.31.)
