The Steamship Canadian.

--The N. O. Picayune says:

‘ We regret to learn that T. C. Gilmous, with his wife and two children, Samuel R. Scott, A. R. Harrison and Robert W Dean, all of this city, were on board the steamship Canadian, from Quebec for Liverpool, whose loss was reported in a telegraphic dispatch. As we have no further particulars of the terrible disaster, we may indulge the hope that these friends of ours are among the saved.
