Missouri. St. Louis, July 3. --The Democrat announces the promotion of Brigadier-General Lyon to Major-General. His command embraces the Indiana, Illinois, Iowa and Missouri Regiments. Three companies of the 7th Regiment, Col. Stevenson, left for De Soto last night to support the Home Guards of that section against the attacks of the Secessionists, who have artillery, and gather their clans by a discharge of cannon. More troops for Washington. Philadelphia, July 3. --Col. Baker's regiment broke camp to day and proceeded to the Navy-Yard to embark for Fortress Monroe, but the order was countermanded, and it is now reported the regiment will proceed direct to Washington.
