ξυμβούλους. Arnold compares similar advisers sent by Sparta, ii. 85, iii. 76, v. 63 (where there are ten). Ἀρκεσιλάου So v. 50, Λίχας ὁ Ἀρκεσιλάου. Probably this is Thucydides' genitive of Ἀρκεσίλας (the proper Spartan form for Ἀρκεσίλαος). Κλέαρχον τὸν Ῥαμφίου Cf. c. 8, § 2. καθιστάναι sc. ναύαρχον or ἐς τὴν ναυαρχίαν.
