Inman, George 1755-1789

Military officer; born in Boston, Mass., Dec. 3, 1755; graduated at Harvard College in 1772. During the Revolutionary War he was a royalist, entering the army as a private, but soon receiving a commission; took part in the battles of Princeton, Brandywine, Germantown, and Monmouth, in the first of which he was wounded. He was the author of Narrative of the Revolutionary War, 1776–;1779. He died in the West Indies in 1789.
