Mudge, Zachariah Atwell 1813-

Author; born in Orrington, Me., July 2, 1813; educated at the Wesleyan University. In 1840 he became a Methodist clergyman, and held charges in various places in Massachusetts for over forty-five year. His publications include Sketches of mission life among the Indians of Oregon; Witch Hill, a history of Salem witchcraft; Arctic heroes; North-Pole voyages; History of Suffolk county, Mass., etc.
