Mulford, Elisha 1833-1885

Clergyman; born in Montrose, Pa., Nov. 19, 1833; graduated at Yale College in 1855; ordained in the Methodist Church in 1862. He became known through his two books, The nation the foundation of Civil order and political life in the United States; and The republic of God, an Institute of theology. He died in Cambridge, Mass., Dec. 9, 1885.
