لكأ

1 لَكَأَ ذ , aor. لَكَاَ , (K,) inf. n. لَكْءٌ, (TA,) He beat a person (K) with a whip. (TA.) ― -b2- لَكَأَ بِهِ الأَرْضَ He cast him upon the ground. (AZ, S.) [See زَكَأَ, and لَتَأَ.] ― -b3- لَكَأَهُ He prostrated him. (K.) -A2- لَكَأَهُ He gave him the whole of what was due to him: (K:) like لَفَأَهُ. (T.) -A3- لَكِئَ, aor. لَكَاَ , He stayed, dwelt, or abode, (K,) in a place: like لَكِىَ. (TA.) لكئ بِمَوْضِعٍ He kept, or remained fixed, in a place. (K, * TA.) 5 تلكّأ عَلَيْهِ ذ He excused himself to him; he pleaded an excuse to him. (K.) ― -b2- تلكّأ عَنْهُ He was slow to do it; delayed to do it; (S, K, TA;) excused himself, or pleaded an excuse, for not doing it; refused to do it, or abstained from doing it. (TA.)
