The Riot At Grand Junction, Miss., was quite a serious affair. It appears that three companies of Louisiana volunteers arrived there on Friday noon, and obtaining a barrel of whiskey by some means, a number of them got drunk and commenced fighting among themselves. Col. Saulak wsk, in attempting to restore order, fired upon them, killing nine and wounding a number, four of whom have since died.--Memphis Bulletin.
