--General Thomas Jefferson Green died at his residence in Warren county, N. C., on the 12th inst., is the 62d year of his age. Gen. Green had been part in many stirring scenes. He figured as General in the Texan war of independence, a member of this Texan Congress, the leader of the one of the head of "Mier prisoners" had subsequently historian of that transaction — He was afterwards a State Senator in California and Major Counsel of the militia of that State. He was a thorough and devoted friend of the Confederate giving of his means liberally, and on unlimited hospitality to refugees.
