The Yankees in King William.

From information brought to the city by a gentleman of Gloucester, it would seem that there is some doubt as to the correctness of the report that the Yankees were in King William on Wednesday. This gentleman passed Aylett's about 11 o'clock, on Wednesday morning, and crossed the Pamunkey at Newcastle later in the day, and he says that at neither point did he hear anything of the presence of the enemy in the county, and everything seemed to be quiet. He thinks it hardly probable that there could have been a force of the enemy as near Aylett's as reported without the people of the neighborhood being apprised of it.
