[1210] πεσεῖν here = ἐμπεσεῖν （which Hartung would read, but unnecessarily）. Aristoph. Thes. 1122 “πεσεῖν ἐς εὐνὰς καὶ γαμήλιον λέχος.” The bold use is assisted byθαλαμηπόλῳ （bridegroom） which goes closely with πεσεῖν.
