[109] αἰτίας,“crime”: Soph. Aj. 28 “τήνδ᾽ οὖν ἐκείνῳ πᾶς τις αἰτίαν νέμει.” For δυστέκμαρτον, hard to track, cp. Aesch. Eum. 244 （the Furies hunting Orestes） εἶεν: τόδ᾽ ἐστὶ τἀνδρὸς ἐκφανὲς τέκμαρ. The poet hints a reason for what might else have seemed strange—the previous inaction of Oedipus. Cp. 219
