[560] χειρώματι deed of a (violent) hand: Aesch. Seven 1022 “τυμβόχοα χειρώματα”= service of the hands in raising a mound. In the one other place where Aesch. has the word, it means “prey” ( Aesch. Ag. 1326 “δούλης θανσύσης εὐμαροῦς χειρώματος”): Soph. uses it only here (though he has “δυσχείρωμα” Soph. Ant. 126): Eur. never.
