Baltimore cattle market.

Baltimore, May 17.
--The offerings of beef cattle at the State scales yesterday amounted to only 300 head, all of which were taken by Baltimore butchers at prices ranging from $4 25 to $5 50 per 100 lbs. gross, these figures being the same as were paid last market day. The supply of live hogs was quite large; hence prices were lower. Sales were made at $6 to $7 per 100 lbs., being a decline of $1 on last week's rate. Sheep were scarce, and there is quite a good demand for them. Sales were made at $4 to $5 per 100 lbs. gross.
