Extra session of the Provisional Congress of the Confederate States.
Fifteenth day.

Montgomery, Ala., May 15, 1861.
Mr. Smith, of Alabama, offered the following resolution, which was adopted:

Resolved, That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to report a bill establishing and organizing a Court of the Confederate States for the State of Virginia.

Mr. Keitt, of South Carolina, from the Committee on Indian Affairs, reported a bill, to be entitled ‘"an act for the protection of certain Indian tribes."’ The Clerk commenced reading the bill, and it appeared that the provisions of it extended protection over the Indian territory south of Kansas.

On motion of Mr. Keitt, the further reading was suspended, and on his motion Congress went into secret session.
