UDAE

UDAE (Οὖδαι, Ptol. 5.9.23), a people of Asiatic Sarmatia on the Caspian sea. They are probably the people mentioned under the name of Udini by Pliny (6.12. s. 15). They appear to have derived their name from the river Udon.
