Illiturgis, Iliturgis

or Iliturgi. A city of Spain, not far from Castulo and Mentesa, and five days' march from Carthago Nova. It was situated near the Baetis, on a steep and rugged rock, and was called in Roman times Forum Iulium. The place was destroyed by Scipio B.C. 210 (Livy, xxviii. 19), but was soon afterwards repeopled. It is now Andujar.
