DE´CUMA
DE´CUMA a town of Hispania Baetica, near the river Baetis, and apparently on its left bank, near its junction with the
SINGULIS (
Plin. Nat. 3.1. s. 3.)
It is supposed to be the same place as the
DETUMO of which we have some coins (Mionnet,
Suppl. vol. i. p. 114; Sestini, p. 88); and Harduin takes it for the
Δητοῦνδα of Ptolemy (
2.4.11).
