House breaking.

--Two negro boys — Henry and William — hired to John D. Quarles, were before the Mayor yesterday, to answer the charge of stealing four barrels of herrings from Minnis & Watson, corner 2d and Main streets. After hearing the evidence, the Mayor adjudged them guilty, and sentenced each of them to receive nine and thirty lashes, well laid on.
