The Roads.

--The recent very heavy rains have rendered the roads leading to this city nearly impassable. The roads in some instances are hub-deep, and getting along is a matter of extreme difficulty, especially if a vehicle be well loaded. The Brook turnpike in the neighborhood of the meadow bridges, has proved, from its bad condition, a source of great disquiet and inconvenience to the people who are compelled to use it. It will be remembered that it is the oldest incorporated turnpike company in the Confederate States, and generally in very good order.
