City Council. --The Council met in the City Hall yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Present: Messrs. Saunders, (President,) Walker, Scott, Burr, Hill, Haskins, Denoon, Clopton, Stokes, Glazebrook, and Griffin. Mr. Burr, Chairman of the Committee on Public Grounds and Buildings, presented a petition from members of the Fayeld Market Hall shall not be used for ball purposes.
