[673] ἀνὰ … μεταφρένου: 'raised her neck slowly and with difficulty from her curved shoulders.' This constr. of ἀνέχω is, as far as I know, unique. See Soph. O.T. 174.
μόλις: Ap. never uses the Homeric μόγις. κυφοῖο: cf. Cat. 64. 350, “incurvo (so Ellis) canos solvent a vertice crines.”
